Register for free offers and try out lots of ways to travel around your city. You could:

  • borrow a bike or e-bike for up to four weeks
  • have cycle training to boost your skills and confidence
  • join an accompanied cycle ride
  • have a go on a TIER e-scooter or e-bike with our vouchers
  • catch the bus with our free bus taster ticket
  • try the train with our free train taster ticket

Explore the parks and beautiful green spaces in east Bristol, find out about the wildlife and local history and meet new people.

Join a local walking group

To discover local walks in the area, why not join a walking group who meet regularly?

  • Barton Hill short walks group meets at Wellspring Settlement, Ducie Road on Mondays at 2pm. Find out more
  • St George Stroller’s Park stroll meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 10.30am for a 30-minute stroll followed by refreshments. Find out more

Go Jauntly walks

Go Jauntly is a free community-based walking and nature connection app that offers local trails for city dwellers seeking a quick dose of nature.

Based on a user’s location, simple photo guides lead walkers around urban areas and surrounding wildlife, from greenspaces to community gardens.

In Bristol, you can download all the local routes for free for offline use which is great for low-connectivity areas, conserving battery and helping to save money on data usage.

Borrow a bike

The Travelwest team can lend you a bike to try out for free. Trial a city/hybrid, folding or electric bike for up to four weeks to find out if cycling is for you
